The AAS & CM December Member of the Month - Redseven!

After much anguish, trying to decide which of our wonderful members to select for the title, Leo and I would like to congratulate our December Member of the Month, Redseven!  Redseven or "Red" as we call her on the site has been a member of AAS & CM since January 10, 2009 and she's been a very active member, and we're so glad to have her.  Here's a little about our Member of the Month in her own words.  Enjoy!

First of all I'd like to say that I feel very honored to be chosen as the "Member of the Month". Especially for December and especially right now, because this December is a pretty big milestone in my life.

I am currently finishing up my coursework to receive my bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems and will be graduating this month! I'm feeling all types of emotions about it, but I am proud of myself. I am one of 2 people in the immediate family to graduate from college.

I live in the South. I am an only child. I enjoy reading, computers, music (R&B, a bit of hip-hop), watching television, & shopping. I also play a bit of piano and I also enjoy doing calligraphy. My favorite color is red. My favorite number is 7, hence my username "RedSeven". I love dogs and I have two, Cody & Destiny. Cody is a mix-breed and Destiny is an Akita.

I believe I'm a pretty easy going person. Although I do not tolerate foolishness. And if you'd ask my mother, she'd say the same. I've been like this since elementary school, believe it or not. (lol) I have always been called a very "quiet" person. Because I don't talk a whole lot. I'm more of a listener.

I'm excited about this holiday season because I feel very blessed to be able to have accomplished what I have. And I'm also very blessed to have such a great and loving family to spend this holiday season with coupled with this momentous occasion...which means....gifts from everyone...times 2!! ~ LOL!!

Shemar Leaves A Pharmacy

Don't you just love seeing celebs doing the most ordinary things you could imagine?  What could be more ordinary than picking up a prescription from the drugstore, unless of course you're Shemar Moore?  At least the camera person from TMZ got a kick out of it.  She even was bold enough to ask him to make babies with her?  Whoa!  Check Shemar out at 7:05.  He's adorable as usual. ;)

Oprah To Call It Quits In 2011!

Oprah to announce shows last date on Friday's show

Well, we knew it couldn't last forever, and now we're hearing that Oprah has actually set a date for September 2011 to end her historic show.  We wish her well.  Read more:

Oprah Winfrey's show will end in 2011 after a 25-year-run, according to a statement from CBS.

The talk-show host and media mogul plans to announce during a Friday taping of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" that her final broadcasts will be held in September of 2011.

"We have the greatest respect for Oprah and wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors," the CBS statement reads. "We know that anything she turns her hand to will be a great success. We look forward to working with her for the next several years, and hopefully afterwards as well."

Harpo, Inc., did not immediately respond to requests for comment from TheWrap.

Y&R Casts New 'Malcolm' - But Is He The Right Choice?

 

   Darius McCrary, the new 'Malcolm' on Y&R

Well, the word is that Y&R has finally recast the role of 'Malcolm' that made Shemar Moore famous, and the coveted role went to Darius McCrary who is best known as Eddie Winslow on the long-running ABC sitcom Family Matters - has signed a multi-year deal to assume the role beginning Nov. 18. His debut will air on Dec. 29.

While I believe that Darius is a pretty good actor, I have to wonder why they selected him for the role of Malcolm.  Malcolm was about sex appeal, charisma, and ooohh la la, and I'm not sure if diehard Y&R fans or Malcolm fans will take this selection seriously.  Here are a couple of options that TPTB should have considered for the eye candy the Malcolm character brought to the role:

Cutie Charles Divins

These two are just a couple of options that could have filled Shemar's big shoes, but I suppose it remains to be seen if Darius will be accepted in the role.

November Spotlighted Member of the Month - DAZZAL!

We are pleased to present our November Spotlighted Member of the Month, DAZZAL!!! Yeah! I have to say that one of the first things I noticed about our spotlighted member is her username, “Dazzal”. I love it because it sounds like a very lively and spirited person, and Dazzal definitely lives up to her name on AAS & CM, so we’re so proud to have her.

Dazzal has been a member of AAS & CM since we first began.  She lives with her husband who she describes as a “great guy with a great sense of humor” out west where the climate is very mild and suits her living style nicely. She also has a son who serves is the U. S. Marines Corp (hoorah!).

For many years, Dazzal was in Customer Relations and a Vacation Supervisor for a long distance company. She has a wide range of interests besides being a great member of AAS & CM. In her spare time she enjoys ball room dancing, flower arrangements, movies, creative writing, traveling, and taking walkss. She loves classical and country music along with a variety of other genres, and her favorite color is red. She’s also a pet lover and has two puppers, one miniature poodle and a sheltie.

She is very health conscious and has educated herself in alternatives, holistic health, combined with conventional medicine. Dazzal says, “I feel we need the best of both medicines, because "some" alternatives really work.” And she’s a great example for healthy living.

Dazzal describes herself as “very friendly” and she values that quality in others as well. Well, on behalf of AAS & CM, I must say that we value that quality in Dazzal as well along with everything she brings to our board as a person and a great member.

So once again congratulations Dazzal! You’re a great asset to us and we truly appreciate you!

Shemar To Appear on "Ellen"

Shemar will be appearing of "Ellen" this Tuesday, November 10!  We knew he wouldn't let 2009 end without at least one appearance on Ellen.  ;)  Here's what she had to say about his upcoming visit:

Also, we're lucky to have the very sexy SHEMAR MOORE here today. This summer, he was hit by a car while riding a bike and could have been killed! Fortunately, he's recovering well and back to work on the fifth season of "Criminal Minds." I think I may have to make him take off his shirt -- we need to make sure he's healing well, right ladies? He was ranked as having the 5th best abs in Hollywood, so why not show off the award-winning body?

Criminal Minds Video Game Announced

LEGACY INTERACTIVE® AND CBS CONSUMER PRODUCTS TO LAUNCH ‘CRIMINAL MINDS’ VIDEO GAME.

Casual games developer and publisher Legacy Interactive® today announced that they have signed a licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products to develop a video game based on the popular crime drama series Criminal Minds. The videogame, slated to launch in the fourth quarter of 2010 on the PC, will be the latest addition to their Hollywood HitsTM game series.

“Legacy Interactive is thrilled to be collaborating with CBS Consumer Products to expand our Hollywood HitsTM games,” said Ariella Lehrer, President and CEO of Legacy Interactive. “Criminal Minds is an intelligent and sophisticated television series that will translate wonderfully into an interactive gaming experience.”

In the Criminal Minds game, players delve into the criminal mind with clever puzzles and immersive hidden object gameplay. The game will include characters and themes taken directly from the hit television series. In the game, fans will be able to take on the role of different members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) to solve a series of five shocking crimes. In order to track down the killers and solve each case, players will need to examine crime scenes for clues, interview witnesses and suspects, analyze evidence and build a profile based on real-life criminal profiling techniques.

About Criminal Minds CRIMINAL MINDS revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country’s most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. Led by Special Agent Aaron “Hotch” Hotchner, each member brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators’ motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them.

Michael's "This Is It" - Starts Today!

Michael Jackson's, "This Is It" movie begins today, and like so so many other fans, I have my ticket (going tomorrow), and I'm ready to see what could have been.  I believe this movie is going to leave fans with a mixture of emotions because it's still unbelievable that this huge talent is no longer with us.  But his legacy, his music, and everyone and everything he has influenced through his work will always be with us, and for that, I know that Michael would be proud.

Shemar Attends Forza Motorsport 3 Launch Event

We hosted the Forza Motorsport 3 Launch event at the CEC showroom in Santa Monica. The showroom became the perfect setting for this game’s launch as it was filled with high-end cars including a very sexy Ferrari 559 and a Techart Porsche, many wheels, and motorsport memorabilia on display.
