Criminal Minds Video Game Announced

LEGACY INTERACTIVE® AND CBS CONSUMER PRODUCTS TO LAUNCH ‘CRIMINAL MINDS’ VIDEO GAME.

Casual games developer and publisher Legacy Interactive® today announced that they have signed a licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products to develop a video game based on the popular crime drama series Criminal Minds. The videogame, slated to launch in the fourth quarter of 2010 on the PC, will be the latest addition to their Hollywood HitsTM game series.

“Legacy Interactive is thrilled to be collaborating with CBS Consumer Products to expand our Hollywood HitsTM games,” said Ariella Lehrer, President and CEO of Legacy Interactive. “Criminal Minds is an intelligent and sophisticated television series that will translate wonderfully into an interactive gaming experience.”

In the Criminal Minds game, players delve into the criminal mind with clever puzzles and immersive hidden object gameplay. The game will include characters and themes taken directly from the hit television series. In the game, fans will be able to take on the role of different members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) to solve a series of five shocking crimes. In order to track down the killers and solve each case, players will need to examine crime scenes for clues, interview witnesses and suspects, analyze evidence and build a profile based on real-life criminal profiling techniques.

About Criminal Minds CRIMINAL MINDS revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country’s most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. Led by Special Agent Aaron “Hotch” Hotchner, each member brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators’ motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them.

Michael's "This Is It" - Starts Today!

Michael Jackson's, "This Is It" movie begins today, and like so so many other fans, I have my ticket (going tomorrow), and I'm ready to see what could have been.  I believe this movie is going to leave fans with a mixture of emotions because it's still unbelievable that this huge talent is no longer with us.  But his legacy, his music, and everyone and everything he has influenced through his work will always be with us, and for that, I know that Michael would be proud.

Morgan In Charge!

Morgan (Shemar Moore) & Hotch (Thomas Gibson)
discuss his new position as leader of the BAU Team

Hotch hands over the the reigns to Morgan

Who else cheered with excitement when it was finally revealed at the end of "Cradle to Grave" why Hotch was riding Morgan so hard? Hotch is a true leader because he has so much foresight and he always does what he thinks is best for the team. How unselfish was it for him to turn over the reigns to Morgan to lead, rather than step down and be reassigned to another unit? His decision is two-fold. It keeps the BAU together and it gives Morgan even more experience in being in charge. Remember Morgan had an opportunity to lead a team in New York, but turned it down, while at the time, Hotch wasn't convinced that Morgan was ready to lead. Now the tables have turned and so has Hotch. Morgan is a very wise and clever choice. We'll have to wait and see how this will all turn out.

Nothing But Love For Mandy? ---- Not!

Marilyn Moore, Thomas Gibson, Mandy Pantikin, & Shemar Moore at the MS Bike Race

There's been such a buzz about the return of Mandy Pantikin to tv as he will guest star on the new tv series "Three Rivers" portraying an organ donor.  Criminal Minds fans will never forget the turmoil that Mandy left two years ago with his sudden departure from the show with no warning to the cast or crew.  His departure sent the producers, Ed Bernero and others, into a frenzy searching for a suitable replacement for Mandy who was consider the "star" of the show.  They couldn't have made a better choice with Joe Mantegna, and IMO, the show is much better without Mandy, the dynamics have changed, and fans actually get to see the talents of the other actors, including our Shemar Moore.

So, it's interesting that in a recent interview with TV Guide Mandy had nothing but love for his former cast mates.  Unfortunately, the feeling isn't mutual and Ed Bernero was more than happy to relay those lingering feelings.  I really like Ed, because he tells it like it is.  Sometimes you don't have to be cordial, especially with someone as unprofessional as Mandy Pantikin.  It's a wonder that he can ever book another gig.  Read on:
------------------------------------------------------------------
l
Although Three Rivers is on a ratings respirator, Patinkin says he's “quite certain this show will have a very long life. The business of these shows finding their audience initially is just business—that's all. The heart of this show is everything that I believe television has to offer at its finest.”

That's not how he felt about Minds, which replaced him with Joe Mantegna after he suddenly failed to materialize for the third-season premiere's table reading in 2007, citing “creative differences." Still, Patinkin has nothing but praise for his former colleagues.

Criminal Minds "A-Team" with Ed Benero

“They were some of the most beautiful, gifted actors I ever had the privilege to work with, and I miss them all very much,” he says. But a show about tracking serial killers “just wasn't the right fit at the time....The way I work, for better or worse, is to bring that material to life. My mind was immersed in Holocaust images 24/7. It isn't that I won't do pieces like that in the future, I'll just be cautious in terms of what I choose. I'll choose in a very Mandy-friendly fashion.”

The warm feelings aren't exactly mutual on the Minds set. “I can tell you that nobody misses him,” says executive producer Edward Allen Bernero, who says the last time he talked to Patinkin was just before the table read, when the star said, “I'll see you in an hour” and then didn't show. “We sent the police out,” says Bernero. “We thought he got in an accident on the freeway coming to work.”

“He really hurt a lot of people,” continues Bernero, who's currently working on Minds' 100th episode, slated for November. “We were going into our third season—it's one of the most important seasons—and nobody knew whether [his leaving] meant everybody lost their jobs. It was handled very poorly. I'm not hurt about it, although I won't ever work with him again. I'm just proud of this [Minds] family. Looking back on it it's like, wow, that really cemented us all.”

The "Green Eye Monster" Rears Its Head!

Garcia (Kirsten Vangness) on a mission!

So, what did you think of "Hopeless", and did anyone else catch a glimmer of "jealousy" in Garcia in this episode?  LOL!  I mean, what was up with her "warning" Morgan about Tamara Barnes?  Do you think she was really concerned about Tamara's motives and Morgan's involvement or was that just plain 'ole jealousy on Garcia's part?  It was kind of funny to see the green eye monster rear its ugly head, but who can blame her right?  Do you think Garcia was out of line to warn Morgan?

If you want to discuss the episode and these looming questions as well as Morgan's possible blooming romance with the lovely Tamara Barnes, then check us out at http://allaboutshemar.yuku.com/directory.

President Obama Wins Nobel Peace Prize!

President Obama continues to break records and barriers by winning the Nobel Peace Prize only 9 months into his first term!  This is one president that will surely leave his mark on history.  Read on:

The last thing Barack Obama needed at this moment in his presidency and our politics is a prize for a promise.

Inspirational words have brought him a long way - including to the night in Grant Park less than a year ago when he asked that we "join in the work of remaking this nation the only way it's been done in America for two-hundred and twenty-one years - block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand."

By now there are surely more callouses on his lips than his hands. He, like every new president, has reckoned with both the power and the danger of words, dangers that are especially great for one who wields them as skillfully as he. A promise beautifully made raises hopes especially high: we will revive the economy while we rein in our spending; we will make health care simpler, safer, cheaper, fairer. We will rid the earth of its most lethal weapons. We will turn green and clean. We will all just get along

CM Episode 5, "Hopeless"

Salli Richardson Whitfield & Shemar Moore

There are screencaps posted on AAS & CM in the CM Spoiler forum of the upcoming episode, "Hopeless", guest starring Salli Richardson Whitfield.  This is not the first time Salli and Shemar have been co-stars together.  They did a little movie called "Butter" together several years ago where they played siblings.  However, this time around, Salli is slated to guest in several CM episodes, and it is speculated that she may be a possible love interest for the hunky Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore).  Is Morgan due for a little romance this time around or will the writers tease us like they did with Jordan Todd?  We'll have to wait and see.

Here's a short synopsis of "Hopeless" which airs on October 14, 2009 at 9:00 pm est.:

The BAU track a pack of suspects who randomly murder their victims for the thrill of the kill.

Criminal Minds May Finally Get Spin-off!

More than a year after the idea first surfaced, a spinoff of "Criminal Minds" may see the light of day later this season.

CBS and the show's producers are starting to plan for a planted spinoff of the crime drama, which would likely air this spring. Writer/executive producer Chris Mundy will pen the episode, based on story he conceived with fellow exec producer Ed Bernero.

The Hollywood Reporter says the spinoff episode will feature a new group of characters, similar to what CBS has done with its "CSI" franchise and "NCIS: Los Angeles."

Word of a possible "Criminal Minds" spinoff first surfaced in the summer of 2008, but the project was put on the back burner last season.

So, what do you think about a Criminal Minds spin-off? I personally LOVE the idea! I'm a huge fan of Law & Order, CSI, and NCIS all of which have successful spin-offs with NCIS being the latest. I have no doubt that a Criminal Minds spin-off will be equally successful. Now, the next question is, who will comprise the new team? Exciting stuff!
